I am using Outlook/2003 with Office/2000. When typing a
message with Word as the editor, auto correction is not
active. I have gone through the online training and help
thoroughly with all settings set per the instructions. I
have also noticed the spell checking does not occur as I
type. Both of these functions worked fine with
Outlook/2000.
Has anyone experienced similar problems?

You shouldn't be able to use Word as the editor unless your versions of Word
and Outlook are the same. The native Outlook editor doesn't have the
advanced autocorrect and spelling features that the Word editor has
(although it has some, just not as many).
