Importing OE folders from another computer

I want to move my Outlook Express folders where I've
stored old emails to my new computer.  I copied the .dbx
files from the old computer and pasted them into the OE
folder where the .dbx files reside on my new computer. No
good.  OE doesn't recognize them.  I've tried using
the "import" function but when I browse to the location of
my copied folders they do not appear (are not recognized
as messages).  I've tried dragging and dropping the .dbx
files from Explorer to the folders area of OE but all it
does is start a new email message with my .dbx file as an
attachment.

Ron, this newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97/98/2000/2002/2003 from the
Office suite of products.  Outlook Express is actually a separate program
despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or an
OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com.

If you're accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=InternetExplorer
to get to the Internet Explorer groups, then click the plus sign next to
your version of IE to see the link to the Outlook Express group for that
version number.  Good luck!
