mails automatically deleted when closed

when i read a message from deleted items folder and when i
close the message it automatically gets deleted. Also when
i delete any message from inbox it is not transferred to
deleted messages folder. Help me on resolving this.

Mybe you have a filter on your deleted folder view showing only unread
items.

Try Tools>Options>Other and make sure "Empty Deleted
Items Folder upon exiting" is NOT checked. That may help.
