I have tried to e-mail microsoft about this problem, but as
if they will get back to me. I have been receiving 40+
e-mails per day from Microsoft about the new security
patch, as well as qmail e-mails coming from people whom I
don't know. I don't even know what qmail is, so I didn't
subscribe to such a thing. This is seriously clogging up my
system because if I don't check my e-mail for a couple of
days I can have hundreds of e-mails in there.

What do I do?? I try blocking the sender, but apparently
they use a different source addresses. I am getting really
mad, especially since I can't get them to even reply to me.

My e-mail address is the proper one, write me back if you
can help me....

It's a virus.  You don't necessarily have it, but you are on the mailing
lists of people who do.  Whatever you do, NEVER open an attachment on such
an e-mail -- Microsoft NEVER sends software by e-mail, especially security
patches.

You might want to check this newsgroup for a post by the Microsoft
Communities Team, made at about 6:27 PM Eastern time this evening, titled
"Reducing Spam Associated with Posting to Newsgroups".  Using your real
e-mail address when posting here is a bad idea, as it may be harvested by
spammers or worse.
