Would there be any explanation for Outlook 2000 hanging
as "OUTLOOK.EXE" in my processes even after it is closed?
The probelem is that after i close outlook, it hangs and i
cannot open outlook again until i manually go into my
processes and end the outlook.exe processes that are open.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

The usual cause is PDA synchronization software or some other software that starts Outlook independently of the user.
