When I print a one-page email with just few lines from
outlook, the printer prints in to several pages (
typically 30 or more ) each containing only a few ( 5 or
6 ) letters in a awkwardly truncated manner !

There is no such problem while printing from other
applications.

My IT guy says it is due to a large PST file I have ( it
is 1.6GB.I am reluctant to believe this unless supported
with some logic.Do I really need to break down the large
PST file, which is a big hassle for me ?

Can some one help, pl ?

Your .pst file is about to become unusable.  The upper limit for a .pst file
is about 1.87 and folks report having weird problems at about 1.4-1.5 gigs.

Reduce the .pst file by removing attachments, archiving mail older than 6
months, archiving the sent items, emptying the deleted items folder.
