Also have the same problem.  I get this consistently with with OE, but less
so in Outlook.  I've done the following:

1.  Reinstalled IE (and OE)
2.  Reinstalled Script 5.6
3.  Scanned for spyware
4.  Lowered security settings.
5.  Stood on my head.
6.  Deleted and reinstalled the printer driver... (Can't even get to a
choice of printer point)

System is W2K.  No one else noted this.  Have 10 or 12 other systems with no
problems such as this.  I suspect that it is associated with one of the
hotfixes sent by Microsoft in late August, but there is no way to back out
of that due to inter-dependencies.

Both OE and Outlook have become worthless to me and I ma having to move to
Incredimail or Eudora to get my e-mail back under control.  Very, very
discouraging.

Most of the persons replying give links that have NO relation to the
problem.

How about someone from MS stepping into this?  Their KB has zippo on it.
