I have been trying to solve this problem for months and have noticed
that many others have had the same type of situation.  I have found
and solved my problem and am posting here so that others that may
still have this problem may be able to fix it.

The error shows up as a scripting error from showdclc.dll  with this
information

An Error Has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 1344
Char: 1
Error: Unspecified Error
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\Windows\System\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

My company writes software and our customers began getting this error
after instaling a new version of our software.  The problem actually
turned out to be in our old software and not the new.

The old software used crystal 8.5.  We installed the runtime dll's for
our clients to print their reports from our system.  When one of these
dll's was removed during the uninstall it took several registry
entries with it.  I still do not know why that happened but once the
registry entries were restored printing worked again.

Here are the registry entries.  This will fix Windows 2000 and XP.
Hope this helps someone.

I have been struggling with this error for some months. I bypassed it by copying text and pasting to Word. I'm a bear of simple brain - nervous about fiddling with the regisrty. Can you tell me how to put those entries in please?
