If your email is in HTML format, you should be able to Print and have the
option of printing only the first page.
If you email is in "Plain Text" format, you will only be able to print the
email, not choose which page to print.

2. Are there any disadvantages in sending eamils in HTML format?

print to the document image writer and then send that to the printer.
