I would like to find out the location of the Outlook .pst files
programatically. The version that I'm interested in are Office 2000 and
above.

The only thing I found out browsing my registry was that they (for my Office
2002) seems to be under some kind of GUID keys, like:
HKCU\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows messaging
subsystem\profiles\outlook
There are some GUID like keys. Some of them have a "001e6700" value which
has as its data the .pst file full path.

As I said before I would like to know if this is the way to  find out the
location and what are the locations for the other versions of Office.
I know that there may be other .pst files than outlook.pst and that they may
reside elswhere than C:\Documents and Settings\{user profile name}\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

You will need to use either Extended MAPI (C++/Delphi only) or ProfMan:

Ok, I can use MAPI. I see there is the PR_PST_PATH property. But how do i
use it? I'm not familiar with MAPI at all.

If you have never used Extended MAPI before, I recommend that you do not use
it unless you are planning to use it again in the future - the learning
curve is pretty steep; don't expect this to be a quick afternoon project.
For a sample app that works with the MAPI profiles, see

Ok, I dug in a little bit more, seems can use Profman, some interface.

but I need it to translate into C++ ....
