Is there a way to Disable AutoPreview & Preveiw Pane for
an Outlook desktop shortcut?

Using: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" /nopreview
works just fine, but is there also a switch to
disable "Autopreview"? Also, does Autopreview allow macros
to run in the background like the Preview Pane does?

Thanks,

Jake

All AutoPreview does is show 3 lines of text. It's harmless.

Preview Pane is harmless, too, in Outlook 2000 and later versions,
especially if you've kept up with IE patches. Whoever told you otherwise
hasn't kept up themselves.

Blocked by default in Outlook 2003. Outlook 2002 users can read mail in
plain text. Outlook 2000 users can opt for a different preview pane. See
http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2004/up040204.htm for a detailed rundown for
each version.
