Does anyone know how to disable the preview pane?
Nothing in AD/GPO's, but a tech at one site suggested
trying: "c:\the full path \outlook.exe /nopreview", but I
believe he was referring to Outlook 2003 because in
creating a new desktop shortcut it will NOT accept the
forward slash.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sure it will. You just have the quotation mark in the wrong place:

   "c:\the full path \outlook.exe" /nopreview
