Does your form have code in it? If it does it won't display in the
preview pane in any version of Outlook. There is no hot fix for that.

Since posting, I have found knowledge base article 331788 which says
that SP2 for Office XP fixes the preview problem (and makes the hotfix
I was after redundant). However, I needed to make a registry change
(detailed at the end of the KB article) which now allows me to see the
contents of the archive shortcuts in the preview pane.
