I have been wanting to implement and distribute and easy
way for my users (200 +) to access a customized form that
I have created and published in our Public Folders.
Inside of my Outlook client, I am familiar with creating a
custom macro button that runs from the toolbar and
directly accesses the form. In reading, I have found that
for distribtuion, this is not the preferred method.
I began reading about COM add-ins but am not familiar with
the territory, and before I go that route, I wanted to ask
if anyone had some good ideas.
The problem is, when you do File > New > Choose Form...
the particular Forms Library folders are not listed and
therefore adds a few steps to "re-associate" your mailbox
with the Public Folder heirarchy. There may be other ways
to do this.
It is apparent to me that I cannot expect my users to
displya technical prowess in reporting their computer
problems to me, one of the techs.
I need a straight forward approach to gathering help
request information and something that I can implement
globally without individual client installs (if
possible!!).
Your thoughts?? If you have some good ones, please e-mail
me directly as I may not remember to check back here.

thanks!

Why haven't you published your form to the Exchange Organizational Form
Library? That is listed in the drop-down list and easy to access.
