In Outlook 2002, the standard contact form has four phone number fields
(Business, Home, Business Fax and Mobile). Each of these allows you to
select any one of the nineteen possible phone numbers from a drop down box.

I would like to change the default phone number for the Business Fax field
to the Business 2 phone number. I know that I can go into each contact and
select that number in the Business Fax field; but, with 1,200 contacts it
would be an onerous task.

Is there a way to make the Business 2 phone number the default in the
Business Fax field? I tried to edit the standard contact form; but, the
value for the field is Phone 3 Selected. If I change that to Business 2,
don't I lose the drop down box to access the other phone numbers?

You'd have to iterate the collection making the change. Write some code to
do it and it isn't so bad.
