I have created a new message form, but I can't get the
attachment field to work so that the user can attach a
file if desired.  Please advise how to get this to work.

Did you remove the message control? If so, add it back by dragging the
Message field from the Field Chooser to your form.

I got the message field on and the attachment working, but
my signature is showing up in the message area when I use
the form even though I turned the signature off. How do I
get a blank message area on the new messages?

Run the form, remove your signature, then republish the form. If that
doesn't work, state your Outlook version and built number.
