Maybe this user had a customized version of the view in that folder. You
could try resetting just that view. Or, for a scorched earth approach, start
Outlook with the /resetviews switch, but note that this will clear all the
user's view customizations in all folders.

Yes, the problem was her view of the contacts. I had already gotten her to
remove the Mailing List field and add it again because I thought the problem
was that she may have had the Mailing List field displayed since before I
made the changes, but that made no difference.
Of all the other fields that were displayed, none of them were any that I
had made changes to recently so I didn't think any others would have been the
problem. Howwever, when she removed all fields from the view (except Icon,
since all cannot be removed) and added them again, everything displayed
correctly!
