Hi all,

Am trying to create a custom message form to replace the
default one.  I can do this fine, however, I have a
problem concerning some custom fields.

On the compose form, i have created a control (drop down
box) that contains 5 text options.

Assigned this to a custom field

On the recieve form I have also liked a read only text box
to this field, so the information selected by the
composer is displayed.

This works fine in the form editor
however when i actully send an email to myself after
replacing the default form the new fields  controls are
displayed empty..

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Gordon

Try sending to your self in rtf.  You set this up in the properties
panel of the email address in the contact item for the addressee.
Prior to OL2003, there was a checkbox that was labeled "Always send to
this recipient in rtf", or something similar.  In OL2003, there is a
drop-down list that enable you to set the format.

Tried the rtf thing, still no joy, the fields still
retain the value in the sent items folder, but in the
recipients inbox they are blank.

Where is the form published? Is the recipient's address marked for RTF? Does
the compose layout of the form have controls bound to Outlook properties and
the read layout have controls bound to the same properties?
