save as type, do not have outlook template

I am trying to set up e-m template. It tells me for step 7. In the save as
type to click outlook template. and save. Outlook template is not one of my
options. please help

Save and close the item. Go to Tools | Options | Mail Format and clear the box for Word as your email editor. Go to the Drafts folder and open the item you saved. You should now see .oft as an option for Save As.

Temporarily turn off the option to use Word as your email editor. Under
Outlook see Tools > Options > Mail format.
