Problem with getting a custom Outlook form to save

I created a form in Outlook 2007 to use in conjunction with BCM.  The
form has probably 150-200 fields.  It seems to run and I published it
successfully.

The problem arises when we try to actually enter data into the form.
We can enter data and successfully save as we go, and then at some
point (not too far into it), the form will no longer save.  The
message that shows up is this:

---
The item cannot be saved to this folder.  The folder was deleted or
moved, or you do not have permission.  Do you want to save a copy of
it in the default folder for the item?
---

None of the conditions mentioned in the error (folder deleted, folder
moved, lack of permission) are present.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

My guess is that the form is too complex. You might want to ask in the microsoft.public.outlook.bcm newsgroup, as BCM has its own mechanism for customizing the form. Also, IIRC, there's a limit of 40 custom fields on a BCM cusomization.

Regarding Outlook forms in general, I get nervous when the custom field count goes over 150. There is a limit of 32k data on an Outlook item, aside from the item body and attachments.

That makes sense.  I have experimented to be sure it is not a specific
field that is corrupted.  After a certain "amount" of data is entered,
the form will no longer save.  That point we are reaching is probably
the 32k point.

Thanks very much for the input.
