Outlook 2003.  I have a custom task form with custom fields.  When I plug
a value into a particular field and save and close it, the next time I try
to
open the form, it says it cannot open the form.  This is happening on an
existing
task with other fields filled out.

If start a brand new task and plug a value into the field, it has no
problem.  I can save and close, and reopen with no error.

Please help, Thank you,
Joel

Do you have any code behind the form?  What is the exact error message you
are getting?  Outlook version?

It could be an issue with your forms cache:

How the Custom Forms Cache in Microsoft Outlook Works:

BTW, forms questions should be posted in
microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms.

Thank you for responding.
I will post it in the forms newsgroup next time around.

I have a ton of code behind it.  The error message is that it cannot open
the custom form.  Does that help.  Do you want me to send you the form or
the code?

Thanks,
Joel

Is the *exact* error message that you are getting "cannot open the custom
form"?  Provide the error message verbatim, please.  Did you read the link I
gave you outlining common problems with the forms cache?  If so - and you're
still stumped - you can e-mail me the form either via my blog or by figuring
out my munged e-mail address from this posting.

Hi Eric,

I've been trying to e-mail you at elegaultZZZ@REMOVEZZZmvps.org but it is
rejecting it.  Is this the right address?

Thanks,
Joel

My e-mail address is deliberately obfuscated because newsgroup posting are
prime hunting grounds for spammers.

You have to remove the ZZZ and REMOVEZZZ parts, and then it is a valid
e-mail address.
