schedule a rule to run?

is there a way (with a macro?) to run a rule on a certain folder every x
number of minutes/hours?

You can´t run a rule by code. Instead you´d need to replace the rule by a
self coded VBA function. That function can be called by an API Timer. Please
google in this group for "modTimer.bas", I´ve posted a sample. Note: You
have to ensure that the timer is being disabled/killed before Outlook
closes!
