send new unopened mail to file outside outlook

Is there a way to configure Outlook to automatically move unopened, new mail
directly to a folder outside outlook. I do not want to use any additional
software. I was wondering if a macro could accomplish this.

Sure it's possible. You can write all the item delivery trapping code
yourself:

Or have some of that plumbing done for you by doing it this way:

Then all you really have to do is call the MailItem.SaveAs method, like this
for example:

objItem.SaveAs "C:\MyFolder\Myfilename.txt", olTXT
