CDO Functionality Blocked

In Outlook 2002 the CDO functionality has pretty much
been blocked.  I have read about the Outlook Security
Document and have created one which will allow my
application to run.

However I can't implement that solution company wide
because it will open the door for a virus attack.

Is there any other way for me to get the funcationallity
back using CDO or another alternative?

I have tried a COM Add-In and it will still display the
Security Prompt when I try to get the CurrentUser
property.

Thanks.

Did you set the COM add-in to be trusted? Are all its Outlook objects derived from the Application object passed by the OnConnection event?

Redemption is the alternative that many of us use -- http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/
