I use exclusively a laptop computer, as I'm away from home alot, and I
currently have my email through a small ISP (dialup) which provides me a good
deal of flexibility. Recently signed up for DSL through another ISP. The
problem is that I am unable to send email out from my current account when
using the DSL line. The DSL provider states this is a Microsoft Outlook 2002
configuration issure and they were unable to assist. Could anyone provide
directions on how to configure my system so that I could still send and
receive my email (POP3) yet have the flexibility of easily using either
connection methods? Thanks, Chuck

Most ISPs will not let you send mail from another domain through their mail
servers. It's called relaying. If you want to send mail from @xyz.com
while using abc.com's mail server, then you must authenticate to the abc.com
mail server with your abc.com credentials. Do this on the Outgoing Server
tab of your account properties.

Hi chuck.
Do you have an ADSL router? Maybe a Cisco?
Well in my case i was able to resolve that problem by change the router MTU
value to 1500.
Just another question:
Do you have Outlook 2003 Small Business?
I hope this help.
