I just joined an organization as IT Manager. Their IT dept. has just put into
policy that all users must now use OWA exclusively, no more Outlook w/POP
accounts. When I questioned them about the reason for this, they told me that
Microsoft was discontinuing support for Outlook Express clients using POP
accounts w/Exchange. Is this true, and if so, what is the reason for it?
Thanks.
News to me. As far as I know, Exchange Server will continue to support both
POP3 and IMAP4 clients and Outook Express does both of these protocols.

Hal,
Thanks for the reply. There are people in my organization who are convinced
that Microsoft will be doing this. Do you know of any way that I might be
able to get confirmation from Microsoft directly on this? I'm not sure what
area of Msft to try to call. If you have a clue, I'd love to hear it, but
otherwise don't worry about it. And thanks again for responding.
