I have two computers running off a corporate Outlook Server with good
results.  I have an older laptop that I'd like to reconnect.  I don't want
the data conversion to cause dupes, etc. so I was hoping to wipe the old
laptop's Outlook db clean to "as new" status.  I don't trust myself not to
screw it up, though.  This is MS Office XP on an IBM ThinkPad.

Assuming that "Outlook Server" means a Microsoft Exchange server, then the
easiest is to go to the mail applet in the control panel.  Select show
profiles button and remove all profiles.  Reboot.  Remove any/all *.OST and
*.OAB files.  If you start Outlook at this point, you will get the wizard
dialog to establish your account settings.
