I know you can add the folder to the Favorites folder under Public Folders.
Then it shows up (if a contact folder) in the list displayed when the contact
icon is chosen on the navigation pane.

Is there a way to add the shortcut to a public folder directly to the
navigation pane in Outlook 2003?

Example:  Choose the appropriate icon and the public folder desired is opened.

only ones in the PF Favs can be added to the nav panes, unless you want them
on the shortcut pane. The folders can be added there as a shortcut.
