I have Exchange 5.5 running in an NT4.0 enviroment.  I tried to install Outlook 2003 to connect to Exchange and was able to verify users name but was unable to connect to exchange server.  I kept on getting he retry/offline/cancel message.  I tried to put my netbios exchange server name in hosts file but that did not help either.  Any suggestions please email me

I found another thread similar to mine and generated my own solution.  Outlook 2003 is looking for a full qualified domain name.  In my case my domain was tasusnt (note no .com).  It was looking for servername.tasusnt.com which would not be resolvable.  I solved it by adding the fully qualified name it generated in to the local hosts file.
