Shared mailbox - autoarchive settings

Hello,

We are using Outlook 2002 on Exchange 2000 server.  Some users have
additional mailboxes displayed in their profile.  One of the additional
mailboxes is often a shared mailbox, used by multiple users.

How can the file locations of the autoarchive settings be controlled to
apply to just the appropriate primary mailboxes?  It seems the autoarchive
settings are applying to both the primary mailbox as well as the shared
mailbox, which could result in the archive file for the shared mailbox being
scattered in numerous places.  Is there any way to have autoarchive settings
be mailbox specific as opposed to profile specific?

Thanks for any help.

David

IMO, Outlook's AutoArchive feature should be turned off completely on a shared mailbox.

Too bad, I had hoped there was some way to automate the archiving of the
shared mailbox.  It seems difficult to manage and subject to human error
without automating the archival process.

Thanks for the response.
