I cannot pick Word as my Outlook 2003 e-mail editor.

I cannot select Word as my Outlook 2003 e-mail editor. The selection boxes
are "grayed" out. The Mail format is HTML. Is there a way to correct this
problem?

Is Word the same version as Outlook as this is a prerequisite.

The Microsoft Office version of Word is Word 2002. This may be the problem.
