How do I import mail and contacts from Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5?

I want to use Outlook both for its contact and calendar and its compatability
with anti-spam programs. I tried making the T-Bird mail into tab delimited
.txt files which supposed to work, but it didn't. I don't have a clue how to
import contacts. I can enter the account settings myself.

Can anyone help?

Google Groups will help you find one of the many times the answer has been
posted.
