This started after a fresh install of MS Office 2003 on a new computer. My
email was fine on the old system and works fine on my laptop using same isp's
and using Outlook 2003. I can receive emails fine with pop3 just can't send
smtp only on the new install.

Thanks

Nevermind it was my setup of the SMTP in Outlook. Just chased my tail all
day. The error msg was correct.
Thanks for your concern.
