I can send emails using Outlook but cannot receive any emails. All my emails
go to my internet provider site instead of Outlook.
I set up my email account information Using E-mail account feature in
Outlook but when I click on "Test Account Settings" I get an error message,
"Unable to Log on to the incoming mail server POP3" Besides that, my
internet Sign-in box with User name and Password sign in box keeps popping up
every five minutes and nothing happens when I click to log on. I can't
figure out why my incoming messages are not being delivered to my inbox in
Outlook. Thanks
I have exactly the same problem. When I set up the account in Outlook 2002
the test message gets sent Ok and is received by my webmail account, but I
cannot log onto the incoming server. I get the message "Invalid username
password pair".
I have checked the settings over and over and have tried increasing the
timeout, all to no avail. Thought it might be something to do with my Norton
Firewall so have changed to Zone Alarm but the problem persists. Would really
welcome some help with this.

Have just tried uninstalling Outlook, running a registry cleaner, shutting
down the system and reinstalling. Problem still persists.
Forgot to add that I am running Outlook 2002 under Windows XP Home, Service
Pack 2.

No, but the workaround I have was to install Incredimail (Search for
Incredimail on Google), which worked first time right out of the box. Have
since retested both Outlook and Outlook Express and the problem still
persists with those programs.
I don't understand why one of the MVP's hasn't picked up this thread,
because the problem is obviously quite widespread

I'm having the exact same problem except that Outlook Express works ok. I'll
be glad when somebody figures this out.
