I did a "by the book" update of internet explorer from microsoft.com that
included some kind of update for outlook.
The text ' Microsoft Outlook has not been installed for the current user.
Run the installation program if you wan't to install the program ' appears.
What do I do now? I want to use outlook and not mess up the user settings or
the messages stored there.

My case is slightly different. Last week one security update for Outlook has
killed my Outlook (2003), now I can't use Outlook to get into my Hotmail (one
and only). I have to use OE or Webmail. All my folders and Contact list are
still under Outlook.
