How do I restore access to my default email folder?

I just installed MS Office XP Small Business, Version 2002.  When I open
Outlook I get the following pop-up message:

"Unable to open your default e-mail folders.  Could not open the item.
Please try again."

I hit OK and then get the following message:

"Would you like to open your default File System Folder instead?"

If I hit "NO", Outlook closes.  If I hit "Yes" my File System Folders come
up, but I can't get my contacts, calendar, etc.

Any advice?

Create a new mail profile and configure it to use your old .pst file.
