I want to avoid retyping all of the contacts and names in my address book for e-mail in Outlook

I haven't been able to figure out a way to save this so that when I re-install Office (actually I need to re-install XP to rid of an apparent corrupted operatiing system) I can put the address book back.  When I attempted to do this before I saved the list of names, but it would not paste back and no matter what I tried I ended up having to painstakingly type each person's information one at a time
Do you know the solution or who to contact to get the answer (assuming there is a solution)?

All data like mail, contacts, calendar, etc is stored in the pst-file.
Locate the file and copy it to a save location. On restore you can connect
to it by using File-> Open-> Outlook Data File.

Make sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
the pst-file.
