Outlook 2000 update SR-1

Computer tells me to install SR-1 but having tried twice I get error messages:

'Outlook 2000 internal error 2318 contact product support for assistance'.

2nd time error 2349 same message.

I can't find any explanation, how do I get this update to work and why do I
need it? (Not technically minded) Cheers.
