Hi, using Outlook v12. I have set up Level1remove (thanks Sue Mosher
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.asp#ol2002) to turn off the
security option so that when I receive attached files, for example MS Excel,
these files are not blocked. However, inspite of including .xls;.xlsx and so
forth, I am still forced to save to disk.

Is there another setting that will allow me to open these files?

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated :-)

Many thanks,
Jonathan

The answer is to only have file extensions for file types that are blocked.
That is, contain macros. So by removing .xls; from the list enables me to
open.

Simple really!

Thanks, Jonathan

you only need to use that key to remove files that are actually blocked and
xls is not a blocked file type.
