When the REMINDERS window is active, whether intentionally or not, hitting
the ENTER key causes a dismissal of the highlighted reminder. I would rather
suffer the small annoyance of having to close an accidentally opened window
than having to scroll through weeks of material to locate the item
accidentally dismissed.

You cannot alter the actions of the Reminder window, as far as I can tell.
