I have MS Office Professional 2000 a ful legal version, yet when I try to
access Equation Editor, by going Ctrl panel then Add Remove Programs then I
navigate my way to Office Tools, and select Equation Editor then try to go
"Run from My Computer" with the CD in the drive, Office has the nerve to tell
me that I don't have a legal version of the program, or some such comment.

On an earlier computer, that has since died, I was able to do it. Think I
was using Windows 98 on that one. Using XP

You should post to an Office group and not to one that supports Outlook, and
give the *exact* err.msg
