We just got a new computer and need to move our email personal folders from
the old to the new computer.  We used outlook express on the old computer and
have outlook 2007 on the new one.  I have been able to set up outlook to
receive email but I don't know what files (.pst?) on the old computer are the
personal email folders in outlook express, nor do I know how to move them
over to the new one.

Help is greatly appreciated!

You need to move your msg store to the new pc, connect it to OE on the new
PC before you can then export msgs to outlook
see here for the OE bit http://www.insideoe.com/
Also your addresses will be contained in the *.wab file on the old PC

You must configure Outlook Express (or WIndows Mail, depending on what
version of Windows your new machine has) on the new machine, migrate your
Outlook Express messages to the OE (or WM) on the new machine, then migrate
them to Outlook from there.  See http://www.insideoe.com/ for information on
backing up/restoring Outlook Express.

Once you've transferred the messages and contacts from the old machine to
the new machine, start OE (or WM) on the old machine and click
File>Export>Messages.  Folow the prompts to transfer the mail to Outlook.
Then start Outlook and click File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail and
Addresses>Next.  Select Outlook Express, uncheck "Import Mail" and click
Next.  Select the duplicate handling you want and click Finish.
