I cannot download email after upgrade from Outlook 2000 to 2007

I did not change any mail account settings. Same passwords, usernames, etc.
Oh yes, and Outlook crashes occasionally too.

When you install a newer version of Outlook, it's always a good idea to
styart with a new mail profile instead of reusing the existing profile. See
