How can I stop repeated password prompts?

Outlook keeps asking for my password. My account is correctly set up and the
password is correct, but the prompt keeps popping up. What's wrong?

Perhaps you are using a version of OL that is not fully Vista compatible?

I'm not running Vista -- running Office 2007 on XP SP2. I have a custom-built
laptop and my own OS software.

I read today that the email account file could be corrupted and if you create
another email account and delete the old one, it may fix the problem. Hope
this helps.
