MS Office Forum / Outlook / Installation and Configuration / May 2008I keep getting a message that connection is unavailable.
I am trying to move from Outlook Express that I used with by internet connection (Cox) to Outlook 2003. I can receive messages, but when I reply or try and send a new message, I get an message that says"The connection to Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online or conected to complete this action." I have gone thru the options under Tools but can't find out what is going on. Thanks. I suspect you are not using/dont have an Exchange account. With OL closed, use the mail applet in the control panel to correctly configure the type of account, then test it there.
