when I try to create an account in Outlook 2k (from within
outlook or from "mail" in Control panel, when Outlook is
closed, I don't have the option to select "Exchange
server" as type of account, but just POP3 or IMAP. why is
that? how can I set an exchage server account?

Thanks for you help

no, on the second line it says "no Email". do I need to
reinstall outlook on that machine? any special setting or
selection I need to make in the new installation?

If you go to Tools > Options > "2nd tab from the left (Mail Support I think)
> Reconfigure Mail Services button at bottom of page > this should take you
to a wizard where you need to specify Corporate/Workgroup mode > at some
point during this process you will be prompted for the Install Disk. If
successful Outlook should restart and you will able to add a Exchange
service.
