I currently have windows xp with outlook express
installed with my computer.  however we only have
Microsoft Office 2000.  Whenever I install the Office
2000 it over rides the outlook express.  is there a way
to prevent this?  thank you

Do not choose to install Outlook 2000 as you don't want to use it. Note that
Outlook Express is not the same as Outlook.

You can change the default mail client in Control Panel-> Internet Options->
tab Programs
