I re-installed Office 2003 Professional after my D drive
failed. All programs work except Outlook. The initial
screen comes up then I get the following message "Can not
start MS Office Outlook. Unable to open the outlook
window. The set of folders could not be found".

I tried to install it on the new D drive and on my
existing C drive. Each time I did a complete un-install.
All other programs worked (Excel,Word and Access)

I did a standard and a custom install.

Searched this newsgroup and Ms Knowledge base for info
but could not find any thing.

Can anyone help

Outlook can't find its default datafile.  Is your old datafile usable?

The best thing to do would be to create a fresh profile with a clean PST, get
that working then attach your old file and move everything from there to the
new file.
