Hello,

After upgrading from win 98 to xp pro I tired to use my outlook. It
now is asking for the data1.msi package for Microsoft office SR-1
professional. When I put in my office cd it says it's incorrect. What can I
do to fix this problem? If I uninstall office and reinstall will I lose all
of my contacts that are on each of our different profiles? Thanks in
advance.

downloaded from microsoft.com there are two service packs
i would sudgest downloading them both since there are
some security concerns.
so after down loading go ahead and install them but
watch where the default instalation path is in case
office still asks for the c.d. but im sure it wont.
Also befor doing a re-instalation of office do a search
for *.pst and copy the findings to a new folder before
doing a re-install so you can save your data.
