I have Office XP and I recenty installed Outlook 2003.  I
have been prompted to install Office 2003 serice pack 1.
Should I install this service pack if I only have the
Outlook 2003 component of Office 2003, while the rest is
Office XP?

HI,
first, if you want to write a message with word2002 in outlook2003 it wont
work together.
So if you use OL2003 please install the hotfixes for OL2003

Yes. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2003sp1.htm for information on
